Clinical Supervision in Royal Palm Beach, FL
You finished graduate school. You survived practicum, internship, case conceptualizations, and at least one textbook that could reasonably have been classified as furniture.
Now comes the part where you actually become a therapist.
At Ingram & Associates, supervision isn’t just about collecting hours and getting a signature…
It’s about learning how to do this work well.
Clinical supervision is where classroom knowledge meets the realities of working with clients. At Ingram & Associates, we provide clinical supervision for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (RMHCIs) and Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns (RCSWIs) in Florida.
Whether you’re navigating a challenging case, developing your clinical judgment, or working toward independent licensure, supervision gives you a place to ask questions, receive honest feedback, and grow into the clinician you want to become.
We offer in-person supervision in Royal Palm Beach and virtual supervision throughout Florida, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
Where the Textbook Meets the Therapy Room
Graduate school teaches you theories.
Clients have a habit of not reading those theories before coming to see you.
Supervision is where we take what you learned and apply it to actual people with complicated lives.
We may talk about case conceptualization, diagnosis, treatment planning, interventions, documentation, boundaries, risk, ethics, countertransference, or the session you’ve been replaying in your head since Tuesday.
And yes, “I have no idea what to do with this one” is a perfectly acceptable way to start supervision.
Developing Your Own Style as a Therapist
The goal isn’t for you to become a miniature version of your supervisor.
It’s to help you develop your own clinical judgment and therapeutic style.
We’ll look at what works for you, where you need more confidence, how you respond when sessions don’t go as planned, and when it’s time to slow down and consult.
Good therapists don’t know everything.
They know when they don’t know something.
That’s an important difference.
The Stuff That Isn’t Black and White
Real clinical work comes with gray areas.
Ethics. Boundaries. Risk. Confidentiality. Documentation. Difficult diagnoses. Complicated relationships. Clients who get under your skin.
Supervision gives you somewhere to bring those questions before uncertainty becomes a bad clinical decision.
It’s also a place to examine your own reactions to clients and recognize when your experiences, emotions, or assumptions may be entering the therapy room.
Florida Licensure Supervision

Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (RMHCI) and Registered Clinical Social Work Interns (RCSWI) pursuing licensure in Florida currently complete supervised clinical experience under a Board-approved Qualified Supervisor.
Rather than turning this page into a copy of the Florida Administrative Code, we’ll keep this simple:
You are responsible for knowing and tracking your licensure requirements. We’ll help you understand the supervision piece.
Current requirements should always be verified directly with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling because rules and procedures can change.
Clinical Supervision in Royal Palm Beach, FL
Becoming a licensed therapist isn’t about completing enough hours to get another credential after your name.
It’s about becoming more capable of sitting across from another person and knowing how to listen, assess, intervene, maintain boundaries, make ethical decisions—and recognize when you need another perspective.
That’s what supervision is for.
Because eventually your supervisor signs off and sends you into the world.
We’d like you to know what you’re doing when you get there.
