Gloria Bencosme is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been providing ongoing individual, group and family counseling to children, teenagers, adults and families since 2012. She is also trained in Aggression Replacement Training (ART) and has intense experience working with K-12 emotionally and behaviorally disabled students in Palm Beach County School District cluster sites.
Gloria utilizes an integrative approach to assist clients in overcoming mental, emotional, behavioral, and relational distress that allows clients the ability to achieve their therapeutic and life goals. Gloria’s areas of expertise include mood disorders, trauma and abuse, family issues, play therapy, behavioral issues, depression, and anxiety. Some treatment modalities adopted in her practice are play therapy, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and psychoeducational.
Currently, Gloria is pursuing her Board Certified Behavior Analysis and Registered Play Therapist credentials. In addition, Gloria is certified to provide supervision to Master’s level Mental Health Counselors seeking Florida licensure. She is also able to provide supervision for therapists seeking to become Registered Play Therapists.
